Frequently asked questions

How much does a lawyer cost?

Fees follow Serbia's official Bar tariff. It is the same for every attorney in the country; the exact amount depends on the type and length of the case. Call us and we will give you an estimate for your case.

Is the first conversation free?

A general first answer is free. Specific advice on your case is charged: oral advice at 50% of the tariff item, written at 100%.

How does divorce work in Serbia?

There are two options. A joint divorce petition is signed by both spouses — usually the quicker route. The other is a divorce lawsuit filed by one spouse. If you have minor children, the court also decides on custody, maintenance and contact. You will need a marriage certificate and the children's birth certificates.

Can I claim compensation for a stray dog bite?

Yes. The city, through the responsible service, is liable for stray dog bites. It is important to have medical records from the day of the bite. Call us and we will check whether you have grounds for a claim.

Do you work for a percentage?

Representation for a percentage of the claim can be agreed if the attorney accepts the case. Clients of limited means can get a discount within the tariff.

Are you related to other lawyers named Simić?

No. This office is attorney Željko Simić. Other lawyers named Simić are not part of it.
